Monday - Devotion
Read John 1:1-5, and consider memorizing it. Pray these words: "Word of God speak; would You pour down like rain, washing my eyes to see Your majesty." Now read Psalm 23 and John 9:1-41 with a deep desire to really see Jesus. Notice in Psalm 23 how David moves from speaking about the Lord (Yahweh) to speak to the Lord. How might the words of Psalm 23 bring peace to the blind man's heart (John 9) as he faces opposition and rejection from the religious leaders? Worship the Shepherd who knows you and promises to walk with you through the darkest valley of life. I recall the words of John Wesley: "The best of all is, God with us". May these words carry us through this time with hope and peace. "The light (Jesus Christ) does shine in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it." John 1:5 Praise God!!
